Rakhi poems

One of the best ways to express one’s feelings are through poems. All poems carry an inherent message that is easily expressed and understood by everybody.

Since Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrating the beautiful and loving relationship of brother and sister, it is best expressed as a beautifully written poem.

We are outlining a few poems here for you to use and send to your loving sibling on Raksha Bandhan.

Sister Poems

Three Sisters

We are three sisters
Three sisters are we
I love each of you,
And I know you love me

We’re not always together,
Life sometimes keeps us apart.
But we’re never separated
We’re in each other’s heart.

Now I know we’ve had our troubles,
But we always get thru.
The real message is you love me,
And I also love you.

We have had lots of good times
That we’ll never forget
Sometimes we worry
And sometimes we fret

But if God ever gave me
Something special you see,
It might have been the blessing of,
Three sisters are we.

The Lord above has gave me lots
Of happiness and glee
But the most special thing he did was
Make us sisters, all three.

My Sister

What you mean to me,
Is more than I can express.
You see, I had no sister when I was little
To call when I was in distress.

When we first met,
We had no clue,
What was getting ready to happen,
Was not completely out of the blue.

God had a plan,
Throughout all the years,
He was making us for each other,
To share life’s smiles and tears.

I never could have imagined,
What a sister’s love was about,
Until I met you,
And then I really found out.

A sister’s love is unconditional,
It’s a love has no end,
A sister’s love wants the best for each other,
It’s a love that will always defend.

Sometimes we may get mad,
Or we may begin to fight,
But that’s the fun part about having a sister,
We both think we’re always right!

I’m so glad that I did not have,
A sister in the past,
It’s made me much more thankful,
For the sister I have at last.

My Sister, My Friend

To me you are an angel in disguise.
Full of intuition, intelligent, and wise.
Always giving and helping through
Good times and bad.
You are the best friend I’ve ever had.
If I had one wish it would surely be
To give you as much as you’ve given to me.
Though I’ve put our relationship through some cloudy days,
You’ve been my sunshine in so many ways.
Through trials and tests, right by me
You stood,
And gave me your hand whenever you could.
Thank you so much my sister, my friend
My gratitude for you has no end.

Brother Poems

My Brother Is Always By My Side

“If there wasn’t anything, there wouldn’t be anything”, my brother said to me.
Such a deep thought for a young boy.
It sounds pretty simple, but it is very complicated.
You see…If there wasn’t a brother, I wouldn’t be sister.
Part of who I am is because of my brother.
When I felt weak, like I couldn’t face something, he always shined the light on my strengths.
He helped me to see that I am a strong, smart, and courageous woman.
When I felt sad, he would say something hilarious and make me laugh.
He helped me to see sadness is a part of life, but you don’t have to dwell on it.
When I did not want to face something, he held my hand.
He showed me that sometimes you need a united front.
We came from the same seed, but are unique…Each holds something special.
We complement each other…always have, always will.
Just like salt and pepper, each has their own unique taste,
but you always see them together…
Because that is how it is supposed to be.

Thanks Brother

I was alone all this while
in search of a real friend..
You came with a smile
and took me by my hand.

You made me walk on the path of stones
just to let me know there are flowers ahead..
You made me learn how to smile
after all my tears had shed.

You took me through the cloudy sky
just to show me the sunny part of it..
You made me realize that happy days are here
and together in the garden of happiness we sit.

You took me to the closed door
and told me where is its opening..
You gave me its key
and told that its just the beginning.

The doors of happiness and trust were open
and it lead me through a flowery road..
without you where could I be
in troubled waters was my boat.

for always being there in my grays..
for bringing out my real self
and for promising to be my shade.

THANKS DEAR BROTHER for the love you gave
its been six years of all this care..
I pray that this doesn’t over

Brother Of Mine

Brother of mine
I know sometimes I may whine
But deep down I really find you somewhat divine

You are smarter than you think.
Smarter than me – in some ways
Wiser than you know –
You have experienced pains and joys
Some twice your age have never seen
Because of all of this you are three times the man

Brother of mine
I could be no prouder
I could love you no more
I will always be here for you.
No matter what occurs –
No matter what is said or done
I will never be too far away
No matter the distance
You’ll always be in my heart.
